Dog-Friendly Holidays in Cornwall
* DOG-FRIENDLY BUSINESS OF THE YEAR *
Cornwall Tourism Awards 2018/19
It’s waggy tails all round from our four-legged guests – many of whom come back to stay with us again and again. If you’re looking for a truly pet-friendly holiday in Cornwall, Treworgey is the place for you.
Our doggy guests love having a private garden to play in, 170 acres of fields and woodland to roam, a huge dog-paddock to run loose in, a warm dog shower, and dog-friendly pubs and restaurants nearby. It’s just a shame they can’t review us!
You’re welcome to bring up to two dogs with you (or 3 with a damage deposit). And we also welcome your well-behaved cat, tortoise, pet rabbit or pony.
For visiting VIDs (Very Important Dogs):
- Private enclosed gardens – some with direct access to meadows or farm walks.
- Farm walks – soak up the views while your dog enjoys exploring our fields, woods and streams.
- Dog paddock – fully secured and perfect for a romp or meeting new canine chums.
- Dog welcome packs – with treats, bowls, a towel, and a couple of emergency poo bags.
- Dog tie-up area – an enclosed area with shade, water, dog beds, and tie-ups by the pooch-free pool and playground.
- Dog shower – treat your hound to a warm wash down in our purpose-built dog shower.
Dog-related info:
- More than two dogs –in some cottages, we can accept more than two well-behaved, smallish dogs if you arrange to pay a damage deposit.
- Dog sitters – we’ve trusted dog-sitters who can look after your pet in your cottage while you go out.
- Charges – we charge £32 per dog per week or part week. This covers the cost of putting laundered throws on all the sofas and armchairs plus extra cleaning.
- Local vets – we use two vet practices, Luxstowe Vets in Liskeard and Calweton Vets in Looe.
- Extras – left your lead at home? We’ve all sorts of dog paraphernalia you can borrow.
