Our on-site facilities
Treworgey has everything you need right here on-site for a perfect family holiday for children of all ages, or an escape for adults that can be both relaxing and action-packed.
Pool and Spa
Outdoor pool (Easter - October)
The heated outdoor pool sits in a spectacular setting with views down the valley towards the Looe River and is a sheltered and gardened sun trap.
The pool is heated to 28°C/83°F+, weather permitting and will be open from Easter to end of October.
Comfortable sun loungers and tables and chairs offer space to soak up the sun by the pool. For young children there is a toddler pool beside the main pool.
The adjacent summer house has changing facilities, floats, baby-changing and a loo.
There is also an honesty-box fridge and freezer where you can help yourselves to drinks and delicious local ice-cream.
For swimming out of our pool’s season, the Lux Park Leisure Centre indoor pool in Liskeard (15 mins) is popular and has a water flume for the kids.
Spa pool
You can enjoy beautiful views from our wonderful spa pool (like a hot tub, but with a full pumped filtration system instead of sitting water with chemicals in it like most hot tubs!), situated within a terraced garden just a few yards from the swimming pool. Our luxurious glass, larch and slate pool house has a theraputic infrared sauna as well as seating area, shower and changing rooms. The spa pool and sauna are open all year excluding 5th Jan - 5th Feb.
Spa treatments
Therapist Cheryl (who is also Treworgey's Head House Keeper) offers a wide range of relaxing treatments and therapies from her tranquil spa room at Treworgey. The spa is a tastefully converted old stable, with white washed stone walls just a short stroll from the swimming pool and sauna. Gift vouchers are available to buy from our office. See our spa treatments page.
Tennis
You can book private hourly slots to use our immaculate sun-trap court which overlooks the valley. Rackets and balls can be borrowed from the information room at any time.
Outdoor play
Our outdoor playground is often a gathering place for children during the school holidays. It has a log climbing frame, swing, slide and ropes, a sandpit with mechanical systems for moving sand and water, huge basket swing, stepping logs, climbing wall and a Wendy House.
We also have a ride-on tractor area, gardening play-trays, a hint hunt (find sheets at the Information Room) and fantastic natural play opportunities on the farm. Half way along our shortest farm walk, you'll find a stream that's perfect for making dams or little rafts, and the little woodland nearby is perfect for building dens! Our miscanthus (Elephant Grass) that grows about 2m high can be great fun for a game of chase or hide and seek for older children.
Indoor play
Playroom
Our playroom has a fantastic hand-painted mural, well equipped wendy house and a selection of big and small toys, table tennis and pool.
Indoor beach
For more space, our Indoor Beach is great if you experience some wet weather. This is a big sandy space with a fantastic indoor playground: low climbing wall, climbing frame, sand pulley system, sand digger, giant lego and a net for volley or badminton.
Soft play
Our soft playroom is perfect for toddlers and is situated at the back of the Information Room. Just nearby is a sofa and coffee/tea-making facilities where you can keep an eye on littles ones whilst browing our folders of info on the local area.
Riding school
We offer lessons for all ages and abiliites in our riding school with our friendly, experiened instructors. Find out more at our riding page.
