Geoff's Barn

4 Bedrooms for 8 people (plus cots), Friday Changeover

Geoff's Barn's outline, as it is today, is marked on the 1840 tithe map and is undoubtedly considerably older than that. Today, Geoff's Barn is a delightful and luxurious home for eight.

Geoff's, an ‘upside down’ house, has four bedrooms: two with king-size beds and two with twin beds. All these have fitted wool carpets, antique furniture and romantic brass beds. Three bedrooms and the spacious, under-floor heated bathroom (with huge walk-in shower and roll-top bath) are downstairs. The upstairs double room has a shower-room en-suite.

The hall, up to the landing and dining room, kitchen and sitting room all have beautiful wooden floors with wool rugs. The fully equipped Shaker-style pine kitchen has an old pine dresser and farmhouse table.

The splendid sitting room has antiques, table lamps, freeview/smart TV, bluetooth speaker and comfortable armchairs and sofas. A huge gable window draws the eye in the daytime, as does the stone inglenook fireplace for blazing log fires at night. The huge secluded garden wraps around two sides of the building, and encompasses a stunning view of the Looe Valley’s patchwork fields and the river below.
