A childhood experience they won't forget

From feeding hungry pigs and hunting for fresh-laid eggs to trotting about on ponies and splashing about in streams, Treworgey is as close to paradise as it gets for children.

There’s something for all ages – from babies and toddlers to the most easily bored teens. For little ones, our morning animal feeding is an absolute highlight – giving chickens and goats their breakfast is the stuff of memories. Older children can tackle our climbing wall or play volleyball or badminton in our Indoor Beach barn.

We’ve a heated outdoor pool (with separate toddler pool), a playground and three different indoor play spaces. Bringing a baby? We’ve plenty of parenting paraphernalia you can borrow. We’re parents ourselves, so we know what you need.

Daily animal feeding

Every weekday morning we invite children staying at Treworgey to join us for Animal Feeding.  Children get to feed or handle a range of friendly animals, from ducks and chickens to goats, pigs and guinea pigs.  Sometimes they even get to bottle feed lambs!

We gather for animal feeding at the little gate leading from the lane into the paddock in front of the main farmhouse (which contains the duck pond area).

We encourage everyone to wash their hands after handling animals.  We have hand washing faciliites opposite the playground entrance, just outside the 'small animal' area, and in the stable yard.

Little ones

Teens

Some of our very regular guests who bring their teenage children and numerous teenage friends to stay at Treworgey each year tell us that Treworgey is a wonderful place for young adults to escape the pressures of school and peer groups.  It's a place where it really doesn't matter what they wear, where exams can be temporarily forgotten, where new experiences can give them an opportunity to be children again.

From swimming pool to riding, tennis to pool table, there is plenty at Treworgey to keep teenagers occupied.   And nearby, there are some great days out for young adults, including adventure activities at local Adrenaline Quarry, surf lessons on the North coast and clay pigeon shooting at Lower Lake Shooting Grounds.

Guests say...

"A wonderful week here in Honeysuckle. We first came as a family gathering in Coombe farm house. This time just the two of us. It is so cosy with everything to make us feel perfectly at home. In fact we've been imagining it being our home! We can but dream.... "
