Spring is here, Easter is just around the corner and attempts to limit the kids' sugar intake are about to go out of the window. Below are a few suggestions to keep the family entertained during the holidays.
Here at Treworgey, Easter holiday activities include:

5th & 6th April – Cornwall Spring Flower Show 2025 – Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge PL27 7JE (45 mins)
Cornwall’s prestigious Spring Flower Show attracts RHS judges, master growers, guest speakers, interactive activities, specialist nurseries and holders of National Plant Collections. Welcome to our ‘Chelsea of the South West’. Free for under 16’s and dogs welcome. 10 am ‘til 5 pm on the Saturday, 10 am ‘til 4 pm Sunday.

Two of our most local National Trust Properties have Easter Egg Hunts on offer with fun for all the family and includes a trail sheet, bunny ears and Easter egg.
5th – 21st April – Easter Egg Hunt at Lanhydrock, Bodmin PL30 4AB (35 mins)
Play your way through Lanhydrock’s historic formal garden. You can get out in nature as spring bursts into bloom in the gardens, indulge in a cream tea in the decorated Stables Tea-room or visit one of the three Lanhydrock house routes.
Tues, Weds, Thurs 8th – 24th April – Easter Egg Hunt at Antony, Torpoint PL11 2QA (35 mins) and additional days on 18th, 20th, 21st April.

5th – 27th April – Easter at Healeys Cyder Farm, Penhallow, Truro TR4 9LW (approx. an hr)
Something for all the family this Easter as little explorers can take part in the Treasure Trail, searching high and low for hidden letters around the farm. Once all the letters are found, unscramble them to reveal a special word and collect an exciting prize! Children can also join a member of the Healeys team for Story Time on the Farm, where they can enjoy a book reading while sipping on warm, freshly pressed apple juice.
Adults can take the opportunity to explore the cyder-making facility with a Cydermaster Pass and learn more about the craft behind every drop of Healeys cyder.
5th – 21st April – Golden Egg Challenge, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle TR27 4HY just off the A30 (1 hr 30)
Daily events (fingers crossed the weather is kind!) include otter feeding, penguin feeding, birds of prey display, feeding mischievous parrots, pygmy goats and sheep and maybe even a ride on the Jungle Express Train. A highlight might be the experience of having a cockatoo fly to your hand, pick up the £1 coin you are holding and then place it in a collection tin – amazing fundraising idea for the Park’s conservation projects.

13th April – Easter Beach Clean – Hannafore Beach, below the Coastguard Station (5 mins)
Want to play your part in cleaning up our ocean? Well there’s no better place to start than at your local beach clean. All equipment is provided, all we ask is that you come along in suitable clothing and footwear. 12 – 1.30 pm.

15th April – Easter Rockpool Ramble – Hannafore Beach, below the Coastguard Station (5 mins)
If you’ve ever wondered what lives in the rockpools, then join our local experts at our rockpool ramble to find out! Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and leave nets at home as they can harm delicate rockpool creatures. 1.30 pm – 3 pm.

20th April – Looe Lions Easter Egg Hunt – on the beach at Looe (5 mins)
There are two age ranges for the Easter Egg Hunt – up to 6 years old and 7-11 years old.
Registration starts from 11 am for a hunt start at 1 pm.
Remember to get tickets for the Grand Easter Hamper Raffle at £1 each with the draw taking place at 2 pm.
