The beaches around Treworgey are different in winter, but just as lovely as in the hotter months.  In winter they are incredibly quiet, they are almost all dog-friendly, and low sunlight and stormy seas can make for dramatic scenery.

Here are a few of our favourite beaches to visit for winter picnics (with our gas stove usually), dog walks and wearing ou the kids.

Talland Bay

Our nearest beach, just 10 minutes away.  A carpark right by the beach, rocks to climb and plenty of sand at low tide.

Lantic Bay

Just an incredibly beautiful place.  Not the easiest climb down so better with slightly older children.

Lansallos

Our family favourite.  An easy walk down of about 15 minutes.  Not quite pram-friendly but fine with a carrier.

Looe Beach

Not dog friendly but for kids this is brilliant.  Really sandy and right by the town.  Make the most of it in winter as it's very crowded in summer!

"Just heavenly. The stiff back is gone, haven't thought of work for a second and best of all the kids have loved it. Going home ready to face the world again, thank you!"
